Wilkin Guge Marketing was originally founded by Andrew Wilkin in 1998 as Wilkin Design Group. Recognizing the need to go beyond design, Andrew partnered with Gail Guge in September 2003 to deliver strategically sound communications solutions to clients. Since then, agency revenues have quadrupled as Inland Southern California companies have recognized the need for sound marketing communications that support their brand platforms.
In 2003, the agency developed Brandus Operandi™, a proprietary process for developing and communicating a brand. The first half of the process is based upon discovery and development of the brand, the critical foundation for successful client marketing efforts. Brand discovery and positioning is conducted with each client’s CEO and senior level executives to discover the brand’s distinction, determine its most effective positioning and ensure business strategy and brand strategy are in precise alignment.
Gail Guge is a certified brand strategist by the Brand Establishment, a division of Second Wind, the nation's largest trade organization for advertising agencies. She received her accreditation in brand strategy in 2006, one of only a dozen in the United States. She speaks frequently about brand strategy.
