Pro-bono Project Earns Wilkin Guge Gold ADDY®
at 2006 Awards

CLAREMONT, Calif., March 13, 2006 – Wilkin Guge Marketing’s altruistic vision paid off…in gold! At the Inland Empire ADDY Awards, held on Friday, March 10 at the historic Mission Inn in Riverside, the strategic branding agency was awarded a prestigious Gold ADDY for the pro-bono video it produced to promote Riverside-based Operation SafeHouse, a safe haven for endangered and troubled youth. Written and directed by Andrew Wilkin, the powerful video included statistics about endangered teens and testimonials from teenagers seeking refuge at SafeHouse.

“Each year, Wilkin Guge Marketing adopts a worthy non-profit by providing it with creative services it could not otherwise afford,” said Andrew Wilkin, managing partner and brand creative director at Wilkin Guge Marketing. “When SafeHouse called us and explained its need, we had to help.”

Sponsored by the Inland Empire Ad Club and hosted by KFRG personality, Frogman Scott, the awards gala also honored eight other creative pieces by Wilkin Guge Marketing:

Wilkin Guge’s Silver ADDYs included Webb Schools’ Raymond M. Alf Logo and Wilkin Guge Marketing’s own 2005 Holiday Card.

Bronze ADDYs include work for various including Hayden Automotive, Pepperdine University, Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau and Gerard Roofing Technologies as well as Wilkin Guge Marketing’s own creative work.

While celebrating its own ADDY awards, Wilkin Guge also honored Junior Art Director Cristina Schuett for two Gold Student ADDYs she received for a five-piece cosmetics packaging project. The first ADDY was received at the 2006 Los Angeles ADDY competition and the second was received when she went on to the district level competition where it outranked all other student entries. A recent graduate of Pasadena’s famed Art Center College of Design Schuett is the newest member of the agency’s creative team.
