Wilkin Guge Marketing Attracts New Talent
to Expand Brand Strategy Teams
CLAREMONT, Calif., April 17, 2006 – In an effort to meet its current clients’ growing needs and budgets, Wilkin Guge Marketing is pleased to announce it has hired Account Executives Bonnie McCracken and Valerie Jorritsma, Media Relations Specialist Hillary Williams and Junior Art Director Cristina Schuett.

With over three years of experience in agency, non-profit and educational marketing and public relations, Bonnie McCracken has assisted clients in reaching out to local, national and international audiences. As an Account Executive, Bonnie has already developed campaigns for Best, Best & Krieger, Gerard Roofing Technologies and Keystone Automotive Industries by providing support in research, employee communications, copywriting, editorial services and account management. Prior to her post at Wilkin Guge, Bonnie worked with Metropolitan Water District, Claremont Colleges, Balikpapan Orangutan Society (BOS-USA) and the Catholic Archdiocese. She holds a B.A. in communication from Cal State San Bernardino and expects to complete her master’s degree in communications in May.
Account Executive Valerie Jorritsma comes to Wilkin Guge after three years experience at Monrovia-based Decore-ative Specialties, where she served as the corporation’s advertising/market research coordinator and was later promoted to marketing project manager. Valerie graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in marketing in 2003, and her experience includes marketing and research projects for A&W, Azusa Pacific University, Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Chino, the City of Azusa’s Canyon City Classic and Trader Joe’s. In her post at Wilkin Guge, Valerie will provide support to the New Business and Research departments.
Media Relations Specialist Hillary Williams joins Wilkin Guge after four years as San Bernardino Convention & Visitors Bureau’s public relations coordinator where she developed long-range plans and budgets for the Bureau, cultivated working relationships with the media and provided special event coordination. Prior to that, Hillary served as the assistant vice president of marketing at Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce where she provided support of local and regional marketing programs, wrote press releases and advisories and created Chamber of Commerce fliers and print advertising. She is currently the vice president and membership chair of the Board of Directors for the Inland Empire Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, and she expects to complete her B.A. in marketing at Cal State San Bernardino in May 2007.
The most recent of the new hires, Junior Art Director Cristina Schuett, freelanced in the design industry for over five years, enjoying the opportunity to work on projects for Apple, Madonna’s Reinvention Tour and Duke University among others. In August 2005, Cristina graduated with honors from Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design, one of the top three design schools on the West Coast, where she earned a B.F.A. in graphic design with an emphasis in packaging. While there, she completed a cosmetics packaging project that recently earned her a 2006 Gold Student ADDY award from the Los Angeles Ad Club. Cristina brings both her packaging and design expertise to Wilkin Guge, working as a member of the creative team to develop and execute designs for print, packaging, publication and interactive media.
