Study to Identify the Inland Empire’s
Best Marketing Practices

CLAREMONT, Calif., November 30, 2006 – To identify key marketing trends, nearly 2,000 Inland Empire marketing leaders are being asked to participate in a comprehensive confidential Web-based survey. The 2006 Inland Empire Marketing Best Practices study will assess the region’s level of marketing sophistication and its force as a regional economic driver.

“We believe it is the most ambitious marketing study in the Inland Empire,” says Greg Timpany, research director of Wilkin Guge Marketing. “The survey’s data will provide a baseline measurement for subsequent annual studies and will demonstrate how the Inland Empire’s marketing practices measure up against other regions.”

Marketing practitioners will provide insight about the marketing practices used by regional companies and organizations. Survey topic areas include branding, advertising, public relations and other marketing initiatives. The study will be compared and linked to national surveys such as studies by The CMO Council and other marketing organizations.

Wilkin Guge Marketing is conducting the annual research study with support from The Press-Enterprise and The Business Press. The survey is also supported by California Inland Counties American Marketing Association (CICAMA), Public Relations Society of America Inland Empire Chapter (PRSA-IEC) and Inland Empire Ad Club.

The Web-based survey is open to marketing professionals from December 1, 2006 to December 29, 2006. A summary of the results will be shared with all respondents and made available to the media in early 2007.
