Fairmont Private Schools

This June, Orange County-based Fairmont Private Schools is launching a summer camp so cool that parents may soon wish they could attend school with their kids. Fairmont’s 2008 Summer Program includes fun offerings such as Engineering With Legos, Science Detective – Build a Detective Kit, and Gizmos, Gadgets & Goop: Invent With Electronics.

Keystone Automotive Industries once again encourages car and truck enthusiasts to submit one or more photos of their vehicle for Keystone’s 2009 Calendar Competition. Keystone’s Calendar Competition will be held through August 15, 2008. University of La Verne College of Law

University of La Verne College of Law named a permanent dean effective July 1, 2008: Minnesota-based Allen K. Easley. With nearly 30 years of successful experience in academia and intimate knowledge of the ABA approval process, Dean Easley will replace Dean Donald J. Dunn, who passed away in January of this year, and Interim Dean H. Randall Rubin, who has served in the law school’s chief post since August 2007 when Dean Dunn began medical leave.

Acclaimed trial attorney Thomas V. Girardi of Girardi & Keese will share his years of experience and personal insights with this year’s graduating class when he serves as keynote speaker for ULV College of Law’s 2008 Commencement Ceremony. He is a founding partner in Girardi & Keese, a firm that has won billions of dollars for its clients. It was his firm that argued the case against Pacific Gas & Electric alleging drinking water contamination in Hinckley, Calif., litigation later featured in the motion picture “Erin Brockovich.”

This year’s commencement features 78 students scheduled to receive degrees from Inland Southern California’s only American Bar Association-approved law school. The ceremony, scheduled for May 18, will begin at 4 p.m. on the ULV College of Law campus, located at 320 E. D Street in Ontario. Due to space restrictions, entry to the 2008 ULV College of Law Commencement is limited to participants and invited guests.
